The Hatches

Rousseau got her rifle back when Sayid picked up Henry Gale after she shot him with the arrow. He puts the rifle on the ground when he picks up Gale. Makes sense, otherwise Sayid would have had a gun to go after Sawyer. -DF

Does anyone one else find it hard to believe that Rousseau, who knows the island like the back of her hand (eg. in Maternity Leave she knows the exact spot where Claire scratched her) would not have had more dealings with the Others and found at least one of the hatches?

Remember, she hates and fears the Others and her whole territory is booby trapped to the max because of this. I suspect she's like a recluse, staying in her territory most or all of the time. Only the appearance of the castaways and most especially her relationship with Sayid has brught her at all out of her shell.--Tricksterson 10:00, 11 March 2006 (PST)

It was also by chance that Locke and Boone found it, so unless she likes chucking flash lights all over the place I doubt she would find one.

She is very guarded and doesn't appear to trust anyone. She knows of the airlock type doorways for sure but the hatch was smaller and much less prominent. So far we only know that The Swan has a Hatch at all. Maybe the other places didn't need a hatch.. for whatever reason.

She is a recluse but seems to know a wide enough area of the island as indicated by her Map and the places she leads the survivors.

One place she hasn't explained so far is The Transmitter which she mentioned to Sayid when he found her.

16 years.

I think i remember in a podcast that the writers made knowing noises to a viewer question about Rousseau and the signal.

We know the signal has been going for 16 years (assuming Sayid's estimation is correct) but we dont know when or how Rousseau spliced in her addition to the signal. It does seem to add up with the age of the 'Alex' we have seen so far... but we don't know for sure at all. Not even Rousseau seems to know how long she's been there but doesn't deny Sayid's guess when he tells her its been 16 years.

I think trusting Rousseau's word is not a wise thing. For some strange reason we totally accept her as a victim and trust her assumptions because shes brought no real harm to the survivors, she just seems confused, lonely & scared which we take her actions as being well intentioned and even helpful. --user:MRNasher

Well - we don't have to trust her about the 16 years. She didn't say so. Sayid did - or rather the radio signal did... Doesn't make it any more reliable though. Best point probably is Alex - if it's her. --aurora glacialis 08:24, 18 March 2006 (PST)

If the radio signal is authentic and Sayid's calculations are correct, only the radio signal is 16 years old. Added "more than" to the article. Alex (if it's her) looks older than 16 to me, around 20 maybe. Then again... those kind of assumptions have got me in trouble before. --skks 00:39, 19 March 2006 (PST)

Anyone mind

Anyone mind if I copy the info. on this page onto the Danielle Rousseau (Lost) page on www.wikipedia.org? - Shaft121 07:20, 17 April 2006 (PDT)

Hm, I don't think we should mind because the info is in GFDL-territory? :-) --Jambalaya 08:47, 17 April 2006 (PDT)

That's what I thought, but the guys over at Wikipedia say this contravenes copyright issues, even though this is on a Wiki - Shaft121 10:59, 17 April 2006 (PDT)

I guess User:Admin should decide what to do on matters like these then :-S --Jambalaya 13:48, 17 April 2006 (PDT)

Seriously tho, why bother to copy it?? If her, then why not 'The Swan', and 'Locke', etc etc... the lostpedia admins surely are not interested in being merged into wikipedia, so there is no need for the mirror of specific items...

Better yet, add a link to danielle's lostpedia page under the links section in wikipedia... just drive more traffic here for reliable up-to-date information...

I agree. Why let the biggest "pedia" website copy things from a smaller specific site. Link here please. --MaNiFeX 21:41, 19 April 2006 (PDT)
