The beach camp refers to the location where the survivors of Oceanic Flight 815 call home.
[edit] The Original Beach Camp
After the crash of Oceanic Flight 815, the survivors made camp on the beach where the plane wreckage was. Some of the survivors waited near the wreckage in the hopes of a rescue party arriving, however, others gave up hope and made their way to the caves in the consensus that people were safer than on the beach.
When the tides shifted in Whatever the Case May Be, the survivors packed up their belongings and made their way down the beach to a new beach camp which they have used up until currently.
[edit] The Current Beach Camp
Once the survivors arrived and made their home in the new location, they began building shelters using nearby trees, bamboo and tarps taken from the planes. Some of the survivors kept their shelters on the beach, however, others moved into the trees which are close in proximity to the beach.
Initially, survivors that moved to the caves made that their home, but later returned to the beach to rejoin the other survivors.
