I was thinking that we should establish a set ordering system for the named Others section. Right now, it seems to be a bit hap-hazard. I was thinking of either alphabetizing the names, or putting them in order of appearance. What do you all think? Joser Kyind 00:28, 21 October 2006 (UTC)

I think that right now it's going in order of importance in the Others' hierarchy. I'm personally okay with it remaining as is, any other comments? --ChristianShephard 03:00, 21 October 2006 (UTC)

I figured that this was the intended ordering system. The reason I suggested changing it was that I don't feel that we can be certain of the hierarchy of the Others, as the importance of any given character may be interpreted differently by different editors. So, basically, what I'm suggesting is some slightly more objective guidlines as to what makes one of the Others more "important" than another. Joser Kyind 10:24, 21 October 2006 (UTC)

The best to do is IMO to have them listed alphabetically, given that no hierarchy has been revealed. This is not to say that a distinguishion isn't doable - my suggestion is between "Prominent Others" (e.g. those who have been casted as "Guest Stars" and "Minor Others" (unseen, and "Co-Starring" others). I think we should list them by order of appearance. That way there's no confusion on weather "this person" is more important then "that person."--James S. 21:14, 5 April 2007 (UTC)

Well, now that the list has been split into two groups, with the lesser Others in order of appearance and the more prominent in order of their apparent place in the heirarchy, I think it could stay as it is, but I wouldn't exactly oppose the idea of setting it to the order of appearance. I agree with Joser. I believe the article is fine the way it is. I think the sections dividing prominent from minor are excellent. --ChristianShephard 10:39, 16 April 2007 (UTC)
