Ruth's Origin[]
It says in the article that Ruth is from Scotland. Do we know this for sure? I can't find any reference to Scotland in the episode.
She speaks with an Irish accent. It could just be bad acting, but if we don't know her origin for sure then it would be misleading to say she's from Scotland. Northald 12:03, 20 April 2007 (PDT)
- No, there is no direct evidence. She lives in Scotland and was engaged to Scotsman, but that doesn't necessarily mean she has to be Scottish. I also thought she was doing an appalling Irish accent, but maybe she was doing an appalling Scottish one.--TechNic|talk|conts 12:12, 20 April 2007 (PDT)
It was confirmed that Ruth and her brother were Scottish. She was attempting a scottish accent and failing miserably. We thought is sounded a little Irish at times. For goodness sake, why can't they just cast an actual Scottish person!! --LostCat 11:26, 25 April 2007 (PDT)
