He looks a bit psychotic in the photo. I'm going to change it so he doesn't look so...excited. -- Sam McPherson  T  C  E  13:24, 5 April 2008 (PDT)

Kate and Kevin's marriage[]

Is Kate still legaly married to Kevin or not? If no, when did they divorce? If yes, why did she accept to marry Jack in "Something Nice Back Home"? I posted this here and not on the UQs because this is more debatable then unanswered.--Orhan94 10:07, 24 June 2008 (PDT)

I would say anulled. -- Sam McPherson  T  C  E  10:34, 24 June 2008 (PDT)
Tough call. I think it's natural to assume that they are no longer legally married, and I think it's also natural for Kate to assume that as well (which is why she said "It didn't last long" when she was playing "I never" with Sawyer, and why she agreed to marry Jack), but since we don't actually know that Kevin went and got a divorce after she left him (he could have been pining away for her all this time), I think we should wait until there is some confirmation before changing the status. If they are still legally married wouldn't Kevin be entitled to half of her settlement money? Sounds like a good plot twist. Any thoughts?--Paidinfull 08:13, 19 July 2008 (PDT)
Can their marriage be considered legal if she got married under a fictitious identity? - Gohlkus 04:39, 17 February 2009 (UTC)

I think the marriage is legal. Entering a contract under a false identity doesn't affect the validity of the contract. I suppose she could be liable to criminal charges for falsifying her marriage license, but I think the marriage itself would still be valid. Of course, in this case we're assuming that Kevin has not filed for divorce--Bonefishj0e 17:25, 20 March 2009 (UTC)
