"caus." is an abbreviation in dictionaries referring to the w:causal case, referring to something that is the cause of something. In this context, it would suggest death as the cause of something else. Think carefully about this, though - nouns have cases, not verbs, so if it's not a grammatical error, then it may be a reference to something caused by a die (of the six-sided kind). 62.252.32.16 04:27, 29 October 2006 (UTC)
