During the confrontation between the Others and the search party that Jack assembles to find Michael, Mr Friendly calls out, "Bring her out, Alex." Instead, Pickett brings out Kate; Alex was trying to get Pickett out of earshot so that she could talk to Michael, and asked him if Claire had her baby, and whether it was a boy or a girl. Michael is gagged and stunned and doesn't respond.
Tells Michael that Zeke has to scare the party in order to get a message across.
Apologizes to Michael before carrying out Zeke's order to knock him out.
Theories
It is assumed that Robert is Alex's father, since Danielle mentions him as her love.
Alex may have been punished for her rebellious behavior in Maternity Leave (letting Claire go free), which is why she was one of only a few Others who had to make the long trek to capture Michael, and why she seemed slightly resentful toward Mr. Friendly and Pickett.
Danielle claims Alex was taken from her when she was a week old, then how come the others refer to her as Alex? This might mean that Danielle has some sort of connection with the others. The others might have been the ones that named her.
If the others knew Sawyer's real name, who is to say they didn't know Alex's? Not to mention that Alex was born on the island, so they could have heard Danielle shouting her name.
