While being institutionalized at the Santa Rosa Mental Health Institute, Hurley met a man named Leonard who would constantly repeat the numbers: 4 8 15 16 23 42. After Hurley was released, he was buying a frozen burrito at a gas station and decided to play the lottery with those exact numbers. Mary Jo drew the numbers 4 8 15 16 23 42, and Hurley's winning numbers earned him $114 Million, which made him the first winner after sixteen weeks without one.
