Part of the Mysterious ”Others”, he was a crew member of a boat that spotted the flare sent out by Michael, Jin, Walt, and Sawyer.
He was accompanied by a man, a woman, and his Bearded Captain on the boat. After spotting the flare, they changed their course. When they approached the groups raft, he and the other members of his crew appeared friendly and smiled to the men on the raft, until; the Bearded Man stated that they were going to take the boy. Seeing Sawyer reach for his gun, This Man shot Sawyer in the shoulder and grabbed Walt; while the other man on the boat fought of Michael who was attempting to prevent the abduction, he then returned to the boat to secure Walt’s capture, and then watched as they sailed away from the raft which then engulfed in flames.
