Harold Perrineau, born Harold Williams, was born on August 7, 1963 in Brooklyn, New York. In actuality, Perrineau is Harold's mother's maiden name, as his father is Harold Williams. As his parents were never married, Harold was able to use both names growing up, but was forced to change his last name to Perrineau Jr. when he found out a Harold Williams was already a member of SAG before him. The name Perrineau was taken from his mother, and the Jr. was used to represent his father. Harold is an accomplished dancer as well as actor, and has received an education in both music and theater from the Shenandoah Conservatory. Harold is currently married to Brittany Perrineau, who has appeared as Mary Jo on Lost, and has one daughter, Aurora Robinson Perrineau.
