There are several pieces of information that are often circulated on internet sites as facts, but there don't seem to be any basis for. These include:

Snowman Joke

  • The "What did the one snowman say to the other snowman" joke was told in the first season. Various versions differ as to who told the joke, and to whom. Usually they name Hurley, Walt, Michael and Locke as either the joke teller or tellee.
  • Found in lost-forum.com:

This Joke was actually told in one of the episodes in season 1. When Michael was in the hospital he wanted to send a card to Walt but didnt know what to write. So the Nurse told him to draw a picture and put in a joke "what did the snowman say to the other snowman?" The answer was Freeze.

  • Found in killermovies.com forums:

Desmond asked this to Locke in 2x02 Adrift. Hurley also asked this when he was taking the census.

  • Found in lost-forum.com:

I remember Hurley telling the joke. Him and Charlie were walking through the woods.. Charlie 1st and Hurley second... Hurley said "What did one Snowman say to the other Snowman?"

And Charlie was kinda distracted looking like he wasn't really paying attention, and he said "eh?"

And Hurley said "Freeze"

Gary Troup

  • Gary Troup was the man sucked into the jet engine, and he was holding the Bad Twin manuscript.

In fact, the two look nothing alike and Turbine Man wasn't holding the manuscript.
