THE SHOW

LOST in Poland are known as ZAGUBIENI, which, basicly, means "Lost" in english ;) (but only in one of the word meanings). I pressume, that proper title of the show, translated from polish to english, could be "Lost Persons".

TV

LOST are/was aired in:

  • TVP1 - public television. Lost was broadcasted several months ago, but only the first season.
    • The first two episodes of 1st season was aired at 3rd Nov 2005 (Pilot).
    • Last two episodes of season one (Exodus 2&3) was aired at 26th Jan 2006.
    • The show was not dubbed, but there was a man reading the text (lector?). There was no subtitles displayed.
    • There was always two episodes broadcasted together.
    • The second season is planned to be broadcasting in September.
  • AXN - cable/payable television. (AXN Lost's webpage).
    • Show is broadcasted every Sunday at 8:00 pm. Then is repeated several hours later and at the next day too.
    • Only one episode at a time is shown.
    • Show isn't dubbed, but there is the same "lector" (?) as in TVP1.
    • The episodes are late due to original airing on ABC. For example, currently, 12th March 2006 AXN will show episode 8, season 2 - Collision.
    • S01E01 was aired at 22th Jan 2005, S02E01 was aired at 22th Jan 2006.

NETWORK/PIRACY

Probably, the most effective way to watch Lost is to download it from the P2P network. You'll always get "fresh" episodes, without waiting to public TV. It's quite popular solution in my country. Most used are the eDonkey/eMule network and Torrent.

DVDs

There is posibility to buy Season One (7 discs) DVD-pack, the one I found is here. It costs (now) 146,50 zł (polish currency) which is about ~$45.00. As far as I know, there's no posibility to buy Season Two yet. But I may be wrong.

FANSITES/COMMUNITY

Lost are very popular in Poland. They have a note in polish edition of Wikipedia: "Zagubieni" in polish Wiki.

Lost has also at least two the biggest "unofficial" fansites:

Of course, most admired - by women - person of the show is (as usual) Josh Holloway ;)
