"The Flame" station as depicted in the Blast Door Map

Facts

Theories

  • The Flame is a Dharma Station that has not yet been visited on the series.
  • Is station number 4
  • Could be under the ocean, explaining how Ethan got to kill Scott, and how The Shark was released into the ocean. Also a link of the Oceanic Airways.net fake website depicts an underwater station for research.
  • This station is connected to a central hub that connects the Dharma stations
  • May also be "The Fume". A Fume is defined as "a cloud of fine particles suspended in a gas." It is also near an area of heavy Cerberus activity. The logo also looks like a pillar of smoke. Perhaps the The Security System may have been stored in The Fume station, and the incident was its release?
  • If the security system is called Cerberus, then is may be unlikely that The Flame is the source of it. Written on the blast door is the text "alleged location of #4 The Flame" followed by "but unlikely due to Cerberus activity." This implies that Cerberus activity near the Flame would be unusual. --Sid67 13:28, 4 April 2006 (PDT)
  • The same notes next to The Flame could indicate that The Flame station doesn't exist at all due to Cerberus, since it says "alleged location of #4 The Flame; but unlikely due to Cerberus activity." --Eridani 09:40, 5 May 2006 (EST)
  • The theory of "The Fume", and a pillar of smoke as its logo, might also have something to do with The Others and the Pillar of Smoke that Rousseau referenced and the Lostaways saw in Exodus: Parts 2 and 3.
  • Located near the waterfall
    • Not too far from The Swan
    • Shown on the map next to a place where a river splits or two rivers join.
    • Note near The Flame "LARGE NUMBER OF UNDERGROUND SPRINGS/ HEAVY WATER TABLE"
