You've Edited My Page!

You may be reading this because you're trying to work out who the *#$& is that's edited your "User" page. If that's the case then please accept my apologies and here's an explanation ...

There's a really useful "special page" called "wanted pages", it lists all the red links that appear within Lostpedia. The red links denote "wanted pages", links that currently lead nowhere. A week ago the "wanted pages" list wasn't very helpful, because it was flooded with lots of wanted pages for "Users". And so to try and make this particular page useful I've added each person's username to their "User" page, this removes their name from this "wanted pages" list and hence makes the list a useful tool. Apologies if anyone feels as though I've fiddled with something that's intrinsically "theirs", I hope that you'll appreciate what I was trying to achieve.

At the moment (00:28 23 May 2006 (BST)) the wanted pages list now only has 20 entries in it, most of which seem like genuine "requests" for pages on specific topics. Some of the pages in the wanted pages list exist because people have created links where they are not needed, if an Admin person could take a look at the list then there are links to "Alex1912", "WALLACE", "Kennisrussell" and "Charliesfate" that could be removed but only by editing the original (locked) document.

All Encompassing Theory

Just random thoughts at the moment ...

Timeline

1: Many years ago the Island was hit by a meteorite, which formed the Crater (this leads into why the DHARMA Initiative are so interested in Meteorology. The meteorite has unique magnetic properties.

2: An early civilisation crashed on the Island but couldn't escape, they built the Statue, eventually destroying themselves and dying out.

3. The Black Rock crashed on the Island with pirate treasure, the pirates are still there, they're the Others, the magnetic properties of the Island prolonging their lives.

4: Hanso discovered the Island, the pirate treasure and a way off, this was the source of his fortune.

5. Hanso met the DeGroots and used his fortune to fund their experiments as he needed to better understand the Island.

6: The DeGroots harnessed the unique magnetic properties for other experiments:

psychology - long-term exposure to the magnet affects the brain?
parapsychology - which as a conseqeucne enhances
zoology - as a side issue the Island has some unique animals as a consequence of the magnet's affect on DNA
electromagnetism - study of the magnet
utopian social (engineering?) - combined with Valenzetti as they are concerned that life will come to an end very soon

7: The Incident caused Three Mile Island or some other major disaster [1]
