Well this basically throws all of my theories on ABC's web policy out the window... Koolaidman 16:50, 2 May 2006 (PDT)

if we make it through this night... we're gonna have a cat problem

www.thehansofoundation.org really needs its own cat, imo. i've linked some of the pages with easter eggs from the main page... but this is gonna take a while to sort out, i think. consider my world rocked. :P --kaini 19:48, 2 May 2006 (PDT)

Joop's messages

After one has initially gained access to "Joop's Webmaze", one can enter any message to get back. I got in on the nth time by entering "Get your stinking hands off me you damn dirty ape!". The site prolly gives out a cookie after certain parts of it have been "cracked". --skks 23:03, 2 May 2006 (PDT)

  • Actually, it saves the flash session on your drive by default, so once you've gotten into the section you can get back in no matter what you type in. Even clearing cookies won't reset it. If for some reason you wanted to start the site over from scratch and enter everything in again you would have to load the site, right click & choose settings, click on the folder tab and set the slider for local storage to 0 (left) then back where it was previously (usually 100).--Isotope23 11:26, 4 May 2006 (PDT)

Picture behind Joop's Webcam

The man pictured behind Joop's webcam is the same picture used on the Mental Health Appeal page at Hansofoundation.org

Sort

Hi, might i suggest we divide this article up into different sections, one looking at each section of the website individually, listing everything that is "normal" and having any "unusual" ARG activity linked off into another, dedicated, article. As it stands, the easter eggs are all related to the ARG and are better served elsewhere.--Arcon 13:39, 3 May 2006 (PDT)

October 28th

The picture of the aurora in the Electromagnetic Research Initiative section is dated October 28th 2001.

The picture of Alvar Hanso (which the film states is from the 1980's) is dated October 28th 2003.

  • Persephone noticed that the quality of the photo (and most likely the date) didn't quite match up the other photos on the page. Hence, she got suspicious.

Area to get to a secret communications area with Persephone

See Newsletter.

Patrick0brien 11:59, 4 May 2006 (PDT)

Anyone else noticed that you can't go directly to the Mental Health Appeal section after signing into the newsletter/Persephone conversation page? You have to go to another section first to get there. Weird. --MoJo 07:17, 8 May 2006 (PDT) Nevermind, it's working now --MoJo 07:19, 8 May 2006 (PDT)???, Sorry! Now it's not working again... empty link. Wonder if it's connected to that guy from the MHA page whose image appears embedded in Joop--MoJo 07:30, 8 May 2006 (PDT)

Second letter bleed through

On the center right of the second letter it looks like there's some blurred writing of some sort. As if someone wrote with red felt pen on the back of the page. Is there any way to make it out? I'm stymied. ZachsMind 08:39, 5 May 2006 (PDT)

I have been working on the bleed/watermark in photoshop - I combined the two images to get the most area, then experimented with the levels. Here's the result:

(offsite link to image strip)[[1]]

I cannot make anything of it, perhaps someone else can. It is not the GWC icon from the upper left of the document, however, the shape is all wrong. bhance

Do we have any opionion on the 12-pronged favicon.ico on persephone.thehansofoundation.org website? (http://persephone.thehansofoundation.org/favicon.ico) --bhance

The favicon is the default icon of the Plesk Control Panel Software which they are using - see http://persephone.thehansofoundation.org:443/. No connection to Lost. -Mgeorge 02:09, 6 May 2006 (PDT)

Has anyone tried decoding the acronyms of all of the Hanso Foundation's active projects? Check them all out in order on the mission statement page. In order they are LEP ERi iGA M(V)fi WWP DP mha "Hanso Foundation" --Jasoncarubia 19:20, 6 May 2006 (PDT)

The hyperlinks in the PDF are not intentionally placed - they are a function of Adobe Reader's auto link function. It creates a link whenever it sees something that looks like a URL or email address. That's why the link for Hugh McIntyre's address drops off the "Hugh." at the beginning - Reader thing's that the . is the end of a previous sentence and that the actual email address starts after that. I've examined the PDF in an editor and there are no actual hylerlinks in it. I also suspect that's why the blue link text and underline continue into the phone number - the authoring application saw what looks like an email address and is using spaces as the boundaries of it. BladeHamilton 11:18, 8 May 2006 (PDT)

Phone number on Press Release/Voice Mail

at the bottom of the press release is a phone #: 206-861-5017. the 206 area code is western washington state, and more specifically seattle. i called the number and got a message stating that the voice mail box for hugh mcintyre was full, and to either page or try back later. i gave it my phone number. we'll see what happens i guess. :) --firesign 15:27, 5 May 2006 (PDT)

Has anyone tried cracking McIntyre's voicemail password? The option comes by pressing asterisk when the automated voice starts. I've tried but have yet to be successful - I've tried HUGH (4844), JOOP (5007), and 1824. --outride

Upcoming Site?

I found this, Geronimo Jackson is in the list, but the site is offline. --IceColdKilla

If you check out the Google Cache for the Geronimo Jackson website, you can see it says 29 Mar 2006 03:51:30 GMT., and also makes mention of a "Magna Carta" photo shoot. Magna Carta is mentioned several times on the Hanso phone line when they mention Geronimo Jackson --Hen-Regale 11:57, 7 May 2006 (PDT)

Removal of "Up" status

Huh? It's working for me, so I added Up to the status, now it's removed. What's going on? I can browse it just fine.

I cannot access the site. Are there too many users?--Jasoncarubia 09:48, 6 May 2006 (PDT)

The site seems to be up again for me.--Jasoncarubia 19:06, 6 May 2006 (PDT)

Cluttered

The article is looking pretty cluttered. I know there's a lot going on in regards to the site, but can we put the blatant speculation and reprinted easter eggs on their respective article pages and maybe clean it up a bit. Link the images to the sections/pages they pertain to and make this article into more of a link collection for all the articles that have something to do with the website. That way all section specific easter eggs can be kept on the pages that they are relevant to. --Arcon 11:39, 7 May 2006 (PDT)

Can the blatant speculations be deleted? thf.org would appreate not being linked to LOST. --Techiedavid 12:58, 7 May 2006 (PDT)

I think this needs to be chronological in some way, because either people are going to 1) come here for updates and want to see what's been discovered, or 2) they'll be new and they might want to play through the game. Dunno if a wiki is really the ideal template for something like that.--Bremerton 12:07, 8 May 2006 (PDT)

Can anyone make any sense of this?

http://www.insidetheexperience.com/2006/05/obsessions_1.html

It looks good, but I can't replicate what he did. I may be missing something obvious or it may be his unnecessarily flowery prose. Either way, this is information that isn't HERE. --RadioElectric 13:06, 8 May 2006 (PDT)

May 8th's clue:

After decoding the newest message at http://persephone.thehansofoundation.org, the date is actually May 8, and they have updated the site today. Persephone will tell you that Alvar Hanso has not been seen since 2002. You can see the flash if you go to Executive Bios, and click on the date under Alvar Hanso's picture.

Linking to the phone line conversation, Alvar Hanso appears to be missing. The lady asking where has Alvar Hanso been gone may be Persephone.

--Chatake 13:16, 8 May 2006 (PDT)

Oops, looks like we worked on the same thing at the same time. Now we have a double entry for Executive Bios... Maybe we can combine that, cause i don't have the mors code translation.

--Porter 13:37, 8 May 2006 (PDT)

  • I cannot reproduce this. What exactly did you do?BladeHamilton 14:55, 8 May 2006 (PDT)
  • Got it. I had to clear my Flash settigns and do it all over again. Then it worked. BladeHamilton 15:26, 8 May 2006 (PDT)
  • I still can't get it to work for me, I've tried deleting all of the information websites have left on my computer with the macromedia applet, I'll try from a different location later. It might be something to do with me being in the UK maybe? They could present different flash sites do different visitors so that they would stay in tune with the series. Another little thing that I've noticed that I experience differently is that on the Worldwide Wellness page I get the hotspot, but it doesn't give me any data. If anybody has any ideas their help would be appericated. --RadioElectric 08:44, 9 May 2006 (PDT)
The speculation about the grainy picture can simply mean that it isn't like anyone else's clearly discerned bio picture. LOSTonthisdarnisland 04:18, 9 May 2006 (PDT)
