Cynthia Watros was born on September 2, 1968 in Lake Orion, Michigan. Cynthia's parents divorced when she was seven. When she was a teenager, Cynthia was diagnosed with immune thrombocyopenia, a disease of the blood. For two years, Cynthia endured chemotherapy and a splenectomy, and the disease appears to be in remission today. A graduate of Boston University, Watros won a Daytime Emmy in 1998 for her role as "Anne Dutton" on the daytime soap opera The Guiding Light. In addition to her role as Libby on Lost, Cynthia is well known for her role as "Erin Fitzpatrick" on the sitcom Titus, as well as her role as "Kellie Newmark" on The Drew Carey Show. Cynthia is married to Curtis Gilliland, her husband since 1996, and has two children, twins Emma Rose Marie and Sadie Anna Marie Gilliland.
