Arthur Galzethron was the judge who presided over Kate Austen's trial. After the trial began, Kate pleaded not guilty, and was placed into custody for the duration of the trial when Arthur agreed with district attorney Melissa Dunbrook.
Arthur allowed Jack to take the witness stand, but as a character witness. During the cross-examination, Melissa asked Jack if he loved Kate, to which he replied he didn't anymore.
After Melissa revealed that her chief witness Diane Jansen was unable to appear due to medical reasons, Arthur recessed the court for lunch, during which a deal was made with Kate. (Eggtown)
