In Lost there is a large variety and number of weapons.
From the Plane (flight 815)
- A pistol (Sig Sauer P226/228), Edward Mars' sidearm, found by Sawyer, with which he killed the first polar bear and failed to kill the Marshal.
- In the halliburton, discovered by Sawyer and Kate were four pistols (9mm) and several boxes of ammunition.
- Atleast one Glock (17?)
- Colt M1911
- Two other pistols (possibly Colt Sigmas)
- Locke's suitcase full of knives
- An axe found in the plane. (not yet used as a weapon)
- The golf clubs (not yet used as a weapon but Jack was holding one tightly when he first met Mr Eko)
From the Drug Smugglers Plane
- A pistol (Glock17) found by Boone and Locke which was carried by the dead Nigerian drug smuggler.
- A flare pistol, which the second raft's crew used to call for help. (not used as a weapon and now gone)
From the hatch
- Initially in the armoury there were large number of weapons an ammunition.
- 2 AKM assault rifle (USSR, 1955)
- At least 2 AKMS assault rifles, but in Three Minutes they are not on the counter while Sawyer was loading the guns, indicating they might not still be around.
- Atleast 2 Remington shotguns, Kate uses one when knocking Desmond to the floor and later Sawyer is seen loading one.
- Several Tokarev TT-33 pistols, post-WW2 model (USSR, 1945-51)
- Atleast one Makarov PM pistol (USSR, 1947-49)
- Atleast two scoped semi-automatic rifles
- Atleast one unnamed bolt-action hunting rifle
- several tools like a crowbar (not yet used as a weapon)
Based on what we saw in Three Minutes Michael was lied about the others. He said that the others had two guns, we can estimate that they have at least, ten if not more.
Self-constructed
- Mr Eko's Jesus stick
- Ana Lucia's stick
- A machete constructed by Mr Eko out of a part of the plane
- Ethan's sling, with which he hit Jin (likely that he construced it himself)
- Mr. Friendly's bolas.
- Rocks. Kate threw one at Sawyer in Whatever the Case May Be when he was following her. Charlie hit Sun with one when he attacked her in The Long Con. Mr. Eko and Ana Lucia both used rocks when attacked by the Others
Total count
The castaways
- In Three Minutes we learned that the castaways currently have 11 firearms left
- This includes few rifles and several pistols
- Sawyer pointed out that The Others have five of their guns: the three handed over by Sawyer, Jack and Locke in exchange for Kate; the one Michael took with him when he initially ran off to find Walt, and the one presumably taken by Henry Gale after Michael shot Ana-Lucia, Libby, and himself (though this could have been Edward Mars' gun, which Sawyer had from The Pilot Part II up until Ana-Lucia "jumped" him for it).
- This includes few rifles and several pistols
The Others
- Mr. Friendly had a WWII-era Luger pistol (Third Reich) in The Hunting Party
- The guys on the boat which destroyed the second raft had at least one pistol (unknown type), with which they shot Sawyer
- In The Hunting Party, Jack, Locke and Sawyer gave 5 firearms in exchange for Kate. These were:
- Michael's rifle & pistol
- The pistol Henry Gale escaped with
- Two M14 rifles (hatch guards)
- possibly more, but not seen on screen yet.
- Molotov Cocktail type weapon used to destroy the second raft
Notes
- The amount of guns that the castaways have do not add up. In Collision you can see that they have at least 9 rifles and an unknown amount of pistols, (at least ten if you include the haliburton) Yet in Three Minutes only three rifles are visible, and they have only lost two. This either means that Sawyer was lied or other guns have been lost and we don't know about them.
- It is also possible that the due to errors by the writers/directers the number and type of firearms have been changing.
- In Exodus: Part 1, Jack hands Sawyer a 9mm sig p226, but in Man of Science, Man of Faith he has a Berretta M9
- In Two for the Road, Michael shoots Ana-Lucia and Libby with a Beretta, but later on the scene uses a S&W Sigma on his own shoulder.
